Ceoltóirí Crosskeys
Click to expand (77Kb) Ceoltoiri Crosskeys was founded in the summer of 1998 when the 'Crosskeys' 12-15 Grupa Cheoil qualified to represent Ulster at the All-Ireland Fleadh. The infamous 'green' shirts were born and made their first appearance on stage in Ballina. After the Fleadh the 'Ceoltoiri Crosskeys' title was expanded to include all playing members.

Ceoltoiri Crosskeys has gone from strength to strength. Since its formation in the summer of '98, five All-Ireland titles have been brought home to the Crosskeys. The 12-15 Ceili Band title in 1999, in the Millennium year the 15-18 Grupai Cheoil and Trio titles, to mark the 50th year 2001 the 15-18 Duet title and for 2002 the 15-18 Ceili Band title.

Scór na nÓg 2000
Click to expand (56Kb) Five members of Ceoltoiri Crosskeys representing Portglenone GAC took part in the instrumental music(Ceol Uirlise) section of Scór na nÓg . Ulster winners for the past two years they went one step further this year and captured the All-Ireland title in Athlone (20th Feb '00). The Minstrels CCE (Glasgow)
On the 18th,19th and 20th of February (2000) Ceoltoiri Crosskeys hosted a visit by 'The Minstrels'. A great weekend of music in the Crosskeys was enjoyed by all. Trip to Glasgow
Click to see pics On Easter Sunday Afternoon (23/4/2000) Ceoltoiri Crosskeys set out to visit 'The Minstrels CCE' branch in Glasgow. With sleep in short supply a very enjoyable 3 days of music,song and dance were to follow. Many thanks to all the members of the Minstrels for looking after us so well and especially the Monday evening "dancing" lessons. Click on the small photo to view a selection of snaps from the trip.
